UNIFORM CODE AND POLICY

TRANSPORT POLICY

The transport service provided by PMS-Tirumalagiri ensures the safety and security of children when commuting to and from school.

Our school transport aims to bring students to school on time in a safe and secure manner. This service also helps reduce traffic congestion, saves fuel, limits pollution, and conserves resources.

Facilities Provided:

1. Well-maintained and RTA-approved buses
2. Experienced and trained drivers with all security verifications completed
3. Fire extinguisher in each bus.
4. First aid kit.
5. Insurance coverage for all students
6. Lady attendants on each bus/van
7. All the students using the school bus are expected to be at the pickup/drop points with the escorts at least five minutes before the arrival time of the bus.
8. The buses will not wait for the latecomers.
9. Communication on the bus must be in English only.
10. The children should stay away from the main road until the bus arrives.
11. No student should come near the entry door of the bus until it has made a complete halt.
12. The drivers and the bus attendants are there to serve us and ensure our safety. The students and parents must obey their instructions. Arguing and misbehaving with them will lead to the withdrawal of transport facility to the particular child.
13. All the students must occupy seats immediately after boarding their respective buses.
14. The front door of the bus is the only authorized entrance and exit.
15. The drivers are authorized to stop the buses at the designated stop only, unless otherwise directed by the bus In-charge. The list of stops is prepared to keep in view the convenience and safety of all bus commuters and is subject to change.
16. When the bus is in motion, students must not move around in the bus and should not peep or put their hands out through the window.
17. Objects/eatables of any kind must not be discarded inside or thrown out of the bus. No student is allowed to eat on the bus. Disciplinary action will be initiated if found indulged in such acts.
18. The Students will be held responsible for any damage to buses caused by negligence or vandalism.
19. Unruly behavior like shrieking and shouting is strictly prohibited. The school will issue a yellow card if found guilty.
20. Courteous behavior is expected at all times from the parents / the students towards the transport staff.
21. The Driver's attention must not be distracted for any reason.
22. The bus in charge and the student bus monitor are responsible for maintaining discipline in the buses. Any serious offense must be reported to the Principal.
23. Under no circumstances the children will be allowed to board another bus to fulfill the social engagement.
24. The list of students with bus stops, etc. will be available on each bus.
25. Bus seat numbers are allotted to each child and under no circumstances it should be changed.
26. The School has the right to withdraw the bus facility for the students on disciplinary grounds. The decision will be binding on parents and no request in this regard will be entertained
27. Facility restricted to main thoroughfares in a radius of 5-6 km from the school.
28. The Parents are requested not to talk to the cleaners / the drivers regarding any issues. They can report the same in the administrative block.
29. The Parents must make sure to update the records in the school in case there is a change in their residential address or telephone number.
30. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO ATTEND TO TELEPHONIC COMPLAINTS / SUGGESTIONS.

Library Policy:

• Students should maintain silence in the library.
• Students who borrow books should return the books promptly and in good condition after a week.
• If lost/tampered with, the cost of the book will be recovered from the student.
• Delay in the return of the book after the due date is subject to a fine of Rs1/ per day(which will be used in the repair and binding of other books in the library)

Lab Policy:

• Some experiments require individual work, while others are done in pairs or groups.
• Horseplay, including tickling, throwing objects, or squirting water, is strictly prohibited.
• Students will be charged replacement costs for any glassware or equipment broken due to misuse.

Play Ground Policy:

1. Students must follow instructions from supervisors and adults.
2. No student may enter the play area without adult supervision.
3. Students should play designated games in designated areas.
4. When the bell rings, students must stop playing, line up, and return to class.
5. Bullying is strictly prohibited on the playground.

Discipline Policy:

Discipline is essential both inside and outside the school. Key points include:

1. Vulgar or inappropriate language is forbidden, and truancy or bullying may result in suspension or expulsion.
2. Students are expected to be clean and well-groomed, with trimmed nails, clean teeth, and neatly combed hair.
3. Members of the Student Council must wear their badges daily.
4. Criticizing or behaving rudely with staff members is prohibited.
5. Misbehaviour with staff or fellow students may lead to disciplinary action or rustication.
6. Lost items must be handed over to the school office.
7. Lending or borrowing money is strictly forbidden.
8. The school is not liable for the loss of valuables; students are advised not to bring them.
9. Students with escorts should not leave until their escort arrives; in case of delay, inform the school office.
10. The school may suspend or expel students whose behaviour negatively affects others.
11. Students must always wear the school uniform, including for Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
